Faith in Action: A Companion Diocese of Newala Update
As the reunified Diocese of Wisconsin, we are proud to honor the deep relationships formed in our shared history with the Diocese of Milwaukee and continue forward together on this journey of faith and mission. One such connection is with our Companion Diocese of Newala in Tanzania, a bond of the transformational work of the Gospel.
Neil Radtke and the Companion Diocese of Newala Committee share exciting updates and inspiring stories from Newala:
The Sisters of CMM (Society of Holy Mary) celebrated a milestone with the opening of St. Mary’s Newala Pre and Primary School on November 28, 2024. This school, already achieving excellence, ranks first in Newala and second in its region.
The efforts of clergy like Fr. Oswald Bwechwa, now back in Tanzania exploring missionary opportunities, continue to strengthen this partnership.
A note of remembrance for Dr. Lawi Issa, a dedicated leader whose contributions shaped many projects within the Diocese of Newala.
This relationship is a testament to what can be achieved through faith and commitment to God’s mission. The Sisters CMM continue their impactful work in education and health, and we invite you to prayerfully consider supporting these efforts.
