Mission Action Teams
One of the most unique features of the canons for the Episcopal Diocese of Wisconsin is the formation of Mission Action Teams. The Mission Action Teams are diocesan-wide networks that equip congregations for spiritual and numerical growth by bringing together congregations and individuals who are committed to specific ministries and initiatives.
The work of the Mission Action Teams focuses particularly on exploring ministries and initiatives that can expand the reach of the diocese to the whole of Wisconsin in all its diversity who are not already part of the Diocese’s gathered community.
The Mission Action Teams focuses on four primary areas:
Community Engagement MAT
Equip the Diocese of Wisconsin to be congregations, Mission Regions, and a diocese that are engaged in our communities participating in the ministry of reconciliation, restoration, and repair through presence, outreach, partnering, advocacy, being a good neighbor, etc.
Discipleship and Formation MAT
Equip the Diocese of Wisconsin to be a people growing into the full stature of Christ with the spiritual resources to engage the challenges of life in the 21st c.
Evangelism MAT
Equip the Diocese of Wisconsin to be a people who understand that we have good news to share with our neighbors and able to articulate that Good News with humble confidence.
Stewardship MAT
Equip the Diocese of Wisconsin to be people of generous stewardship of their wealth, time, and talents in light of the Gospel of Jesus.
