Mission Action Team: Discipleship and Formation

The goal of the Mission Action Team for Discipleship and Formation is to collect, curate, and share resources and training from across the Church in order to equip Christians of all ages with all they need to live into the fullness of the Christian life.

We seek to recruit and engage with Christians involved in formation at all levels from across the Diocese of Wisconsin (and beyond) who are already working in formation, are interested in sharing what they know, or are interested in becoming active in a formation ministry in their local context.

Who?

We are looking for materials that engage Christians of all ages in the work of becoming more like Christ, moving deeper into our faith, moving our faith out into the world, and engaging others in the life-changing message of the gospel of Jesus Christ as this Church has received it.

What?

Now is good. In truth, we must all be ready “to make an account for the hope that lives within us (I Peter 3:15.” The sooner we can know of a resource, add it to the library we seek to curate, and share it with the Church, the better equipped we can be, at any age, to engage with our faith to the fullest extent possible.

When?

Exactly where you are. Over the course of our work together, we will gather locally and on Zoom from time to time to share ideas, curricula, stories, successes, and failures. We seek to make this group's work as accessible as possible so that everyone might share in the work and benefit from the rewards.

The Convener

Father Tyler Richards serves as the convener of the Mission Action Team for Formation and Discipleship. He is the rector of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in De Pere, where he has served for the last four years. He and his wife Colleen have two beautiful children, Emery and Linnea, and live in picturesque downtown De Pere. Richards is a graduate of The School of Theology at The University of the South and The University of Alabama.
